For advancement of the department, it takes continuous major steps by way of organizing seminars, debates, subject based quiz programmes, etc.

Observing Sanskrit Divas, Fresher’s Welcome, Farewell ceremony of the outgoing students etc.

Particularly for better writing skills on the part of students, the department arranges creative writing competitions. Apart from that, the department publishes a bi-annual Wall Magazine named ‘SOPANAM’ to inspire the students in terms of literary interest. To enhance student’s creativity and literary senses department arranges story reading and poetry reading events. To enhance students personality and class management skill development, department organizes peer learning sessions yearly.

Apart from the existence of Central Library, the department has a Seminar Library of its own to cater the additional need of the students of the department.

The department organized a Certificate Course for students, to develop the communicative skills in Sanskrit Language in their working area.
